THE CRYPTO MARKET IS ENTERING A CRITICAL PHASE: CAPITAL ROTATION, LIQUIDITY PRESSURE & THE NEXT BIG OPPORTUNITY
The cryptocurrency market is sending a message that many traders are still ignoring: high trading volume does not automatically mean bullish momentum, and a falling market does not mean every asset is a good short. The real opportunity lies in understanding where capital is moving, which assets are attracting buyers, and where selling pressure is becoming dominant.
The latest market environment is particularly interesting. Bitcoin is struggling around the $75,000–$76,000 region, while Ethereum and several major altcoins are experiencing heavier declines. The broader market has also faced a significant contraction, with more than $120 billion in market capitalization reportedly erased during the November 5 selloff.
This is not simply a price correction. It is a test of market confidence, liquidity, leverage, and investor positioning.
1. THE BIG PICTURE: WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Bitcoin remains the market's primary liquidity anchor. When BTC loses important support, traders generally become more cautious, reduce exposure, and move toward stablecoins or defensive positions.
The latest market snapshot shows BTC around $75,524, ETH around $2,224, BNB near $689, XRP around $1.20, and SOL near $89.55. The broader market is under pressure, with Bitcoin dominance around 59%.
One important detail is that the recent political developments in the United States have added another layer of uncertainty. However, traders should not automatically attribute every market movement to the midterm elections. Interest-rate expectations, institutional flows, leverage, macroeconomic data, and profit-taking can all influence crypto prices.
The important question is not whether the market is bullish or bearish today. It is whether buyers are prepared to defend important price levels.
2. THE TOP 10 MAJOR CRYPTOCURRENCIES TO WATCH
These are the leading assets by market capitalization in the latest available market snapshot:
1. $BTC – Bitcoin: The primary market leader. Its ability to reclaim important resistance will influence confidence across the entire crypto market.
2. $ETH – Ethereum: The backbone of a large smart-contract ecosystem. Its relative weakness against BTC deserves attention because ETH often reflects broader altcoin risk appetite.
3. $USDT – Tether: The leading stablecoin and a major source of trading liquidity. Increasing stablecoin balances can indicate that investors are waiting for better opportunities.
4. $BNB – BNB: An important exchange and blockchain ecosystem asset. Its relative performance can offer insight into demand beyond BTC and ETH.
5. $XRP – XRP: A major payments-focused cryptocurrency. Traders should monitor whether it can recover alongside the broader market or continues underperforming.
6. $USDC – USD Coin: Another major stablecoin. Its role in trading, payments, and decentralized finance makes it an important liquidity indicator.
7. $SOL – Solana: A major smart-contract ecosystem with active trading and application activity. Its recovery will be important for broader altcoin sentiment.
8. $TRX – TRON: An established blockchain ecosystem with significant stablecoin transfer activity.
9. $ZEC – Zcash: A privacy-focused cryptocurrency attracting attention through its independent price movements and market activity.
10. $XMR – Monero: Another established privacy-focused asset. Its performance can differ from broader market movements.
These assets represent different parts of the cryptocurrency economy. Some are investment assets, some are infrastructure tokens, and others are stablecoins. They should not all be evaluated using the same trading strategy.
3. WHERE IS THE LIQUIDITY MOVING? ANALYSIS OF THE WATCHLIST
Looking at the trading-volume rankings, several assets deserve attention.
$SUI and $XRP are among the leading assets by trading activity in the supplied exchange snapshot. $SUI recorded approximately $21.77 million in 24-hour volume, while $XRP recorded $19.97 million. However, both showed negative daily price movements. This highlights an important distinction: high volume during a decline can represent aggressive selling, not necessarily accumulation.
$HYPE and $ENA also deserve monitoring. Both have meaningful trading participation, but their next direction depends on whether buyers can defend support and reclaim short-term resistance.
On the stronger side, $RT1, $DGAI, $NEAR, and $UPC displayed positive price performance in the supplied snapshot. $RT1 gained approximately 1.67%, $DGAI 0.10%, $NEAR 0.71%, and $UPC 3.89%.
These assets demonstrate relative strength, but relative strength is not proof of a confirmed breakout. Traders should watch for higher highs, successful retests, and increasing buying volume.
Other assets, including $BGB, $DOGE, $JCT, $LINK, $ONDO, $PUMP, $PEPE, $ADA, $MAGMA, $UNI, and $GWEI, showed negative daily movements in the screenshots.
For these coins, the main question is whether selling pressure continues or whether buyers begin absorbing supply. A breakdown below support can create a short opportunity, while a strong reclaim can invalidate the bearish idea.
$TRUMP showed slight positive performance. It remains a sentiment-sensitive asset, meaning sudden changes in market attention can produce sharp movements.
$XAUT deserves separate consideration because it is a gold-backed token rather than a conventional altcoin. Its price behavior is linked to gold and token-specific market conditions.
Finally, $USDT and $USDGO should be treated differently from directional cryptocurrencies because their purpose is to maintain a stable value.
4. THE REAL OPPORTUNITY: LONG OR SHORT?
The current environment requires selectivity rather than aggressive trading.
For potential bullish setups, I would monitor $RT1, $UPC, $NEAR, $DGAI, $SUI, and $HYPE. These assets offer different combinations of positive momentum, trading participation, and potential recovery opportunities.
For potential bearish setups, $WLD, $JCT, $XRP, $ADA, $ONDO, $PEPE, and $PUMP deserve attention because of their negative price movements in the supplied snapshot.
But there is a critical difference between watching an asset and entering a trade.
A LONG position becomes more attractive when price reclaims resistance, establishes higher lows, and confirms buying pressure.
A SHORT position becomes more attractive when support breaks, a recovery attempt fails, and sellers remain in control.
Entering simply because a coin is green or red is not analysis. It is guessing.
5. WHAT SHOULD TRADERS WATCH NEXT?
There are five important things to monitor:
- Bitcoin support: A sustained recovery above important resistance could improve market sentiment. Further weakness could increase pressure on altcoins.
- Ethereum strength: ETH needs to demonstrate stronger performance to support confidence in the broader altcoin market.
- Stablecoin liquidity: Watch whether capital is returning to risk assets or remaining defensive.
- Volume confirmation: Rising volume during a breakout is more meaningful than a price increase without participation.
- Market breadth: If only a few coins rise while most assets continue falling, the recovery may be narrow and fragile.
The biggest mistake right now would be treating every small recovery as the beginning of a new bull run. Equally, assuming every decline will continue is dangerous.
FINAL THOUGHT
The next major opportunity will not necessarily come from buying the coin that has already gained the most or shorting the coin that has fallen the hardest.
It will come from identifying the moment when market positioning changes.
Watch $BTC for direction, $ETH for altcoin confidence, $BNB and $SOL for ecosystem strength, and $XRP for large-cap market participation. Meanwhile, keep $SUI, $HYPE, $NEAR, $LINK, $WLD, $ENA, and the other actively traded assets on your radar.
Capital is selective. Liquidity is selective. Traders must become selective too.
The market rewards patience, risk control, and the ability to recognize a confirmed move before the crowd starts chasing it.

XRP Faces $1.35 Resistance as Monero Extends Rally and Zcash Holds Key Support
$XRP is attempting to recover after falling to $1.23, but the $1.35 resistance level remains a major obstacle. Meanwhile, Monero continues to show strength after doubling since July, while Zcash is holding above an important support zone.
✅ XRP Recovery Depends on the $1.35 Breakout
XRP is showing signs of recovery after finding buyers around $1.23. The token recently climbed toward $1.31, although the rebound has yet to produce a clear change in its broader market structure.
The immediate challenge is the $1.33–$1.35 resistance zone, where several moving averages could limit further gains. A sustained move above this area would strengthen the recovery and bring $1.38–$1.40 into focus. If buying pressure continues, $1.50 could become a longer-term target.
However, another rejection could weaken the rebound and send XRP back toward $1.25. The first support area sits between $1.28 and $1.30, while a break below it could expose the $1.20 region.
The broader market is also creating additional pressure. Bitcoin was trading around $75,730, down approximately 6% over 24 hours, while Ethereum had fallen 8% to $2,232. Continued weakness in the leading cryptocurrencies could make it difficult for XRP to sustain its recovery.
Looking at the daily chart, XRP has struggled with a series of lower highs and lower lows since its August rally from around $1.00 to $1.50. Another local peak near $1.60 was followed by continued selling pressure.
The current rebound offers some encouragement, but momentum remains uncertain. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is sitting at 50, indicating neutral conditions, while trading volume has yet to show significant buying interest. For now, XRP needs a convincing move above $1.35 to establish stronger bullish momentum.
✅ Monero Extends Its Rally While Zcash Defends $1,200
Monero (XMR) continues to outperform much of the broader market. Trading around $636, the privacy-focused cryptocurrency has gained more than 100% since July, when its price was approximately $310.
Its technical structure remains positive, with the price trading above its major moving averages. The shorter-term averages are also trending upward, while trading volume has provided support for the ongoing rally.
An October pullback toward $520 attracted buyers, allowing $XMR to recover and eventually break above the $620 resistance level. The next important hurdle is around $650.
Momentum remains relatively strong, with the RSI approaching 70. However, a further increase above 85 could indicate overbought conditions and raise the possibility of a short-term correction.
On the downside, $620 is the first support level, followed by stronger support around $600. A confirmed breakout above $650 could open the way toward $680.
Zcash (ZEC), meanwhile, is experiencing a more volatile price movement. The cryptocurrency climbed from approximately $500 in August to a September high near $1,670 before experiencing a significant correction.
Selling pressure increased in October, pushing $ZEC toward $1,100 following concerns surrounding a generation exploit and the developments that followed.
Despite the decline, ZEC has managed to remain around $1,309, above its medium-term and long-term moving averages. This suggests that its broader bullish structure has not completely broken down.
However, resistance between $1,300 and $1,350 continues to limit upward movement. The 21-day EMA also sits around $1,350, making this an important area to watch. A successful move above it could bring $1,400 into focus.
On the downside, $1,250 provides the first level of support, while $1,200 remains the more important line for buyers to defend.
Although momentum is gradually improving, trading volume remains relatively weak. This leaves room for further consolidation before a stronger directional move develops.
A daily close below $1,200 would significantly weaken the current outlook and increase the risk of a deeper correction.
